Flyers top Mapleton for the 14th straight time by 18 points or more.

NANKIN
- That was easy.

Facing an undermanned and winless Mapleton team, the St. Paul Flyers won for the 22nd straight time in the regular season with six touchdowns in the first half of a 63-0 rout of the Mounties in which all the scoring was done in the game's first 36 minutes.

The win improved St. Paul to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the FC - the 17th straight time they've won a conference game. St. Paul has also beaten Mapleton 14 straight times since a controversial 32-26 loss at Mapleton to spoil a perfect season in 1995.

Dan Tracht was still at quarterback for the Flyers, and was extremely effective yet again in completing 5-of-7 passes for 129 yards and four touchdowns - two of which came in the first quarter to give St. Paul a 14-0 lead as he found Justin Wilde on a 7-yard scoring strike and then hit Brian Griffin on a 34-yard touchdown pass.

Justin Roth converted all nine extra points on the night, and the Flyers added four more touchdowns in the second quarter over a Mapleton team that was held to just 60 yards of offense.

Tracth found Brian Roberts on a 57-yard scoring play and Griffin got loose for a 45 yard run to make it 28-0. Tracht then found Wilde on another short touchdown pass, this one coming from five yards out to make it 35-0. Zach Service closed out the first half scoring with a nine-yard run.

In the third quarter, three more touchdowns capped the night as Eric Bradt scored on a 56-yard run - his only carry of the night - and Adam Smith followed that with a 15 yard scoring run that made it 56-0. Isaac Livengood then closed out the scoring with a 34-yard run on the final play of the third quarter.

Griffin made work of his 11 touches on the night, picking up 81 yards rushing on 10 attempts while scoring on the touchdown pass. Kyle Brake had the next highest total with 62 yards on five attempts while Adam Smith had 55 yards on five attempts. Justin Stoll carried eight times for 45 yards and Roberts caught two passes for 84 yards.

St. Paul will return to Warren Whitney Field for the first time since the season opener Saturday when it hosts South Central (1-4, 1-1). The Flyers have won 18 straight against the Trojans and are coming off a memorable 78-6 win a year ago - a school record for points in a game and a half (71).
